Two grant opportunities are available through the Iowa Department of Public Health. Eligible applicants are the local boards of health; however, regional food system work groups could partner with local boards of health on local food system projects (farm to institution, farm markets, etc.). The Regional Food Systems Working Group supports education, conducts research and facilitates partnerships to increase investment and support of community-based, economically sustainable and environmentally and socially responsible regional food enterprises.
