Plans for the Fruit and Vegetable Working Group's transition to new leadership are still being developed.

A new FWVG tool, "Two Vegetable Wash Station Designs," is available online. These detailed instructions and diagrams explain how to build two types of low-cost vegetable wash stations.

Food Safety and Liability Insurance: Emerging Issues for Marketing to Instituitions. The report is a yearlong project to study food safety and liability insurance issues and offer recommendations that emphasize proactive and cooperative attention. View the report [PDF]. The Iowa Fruit and Vegetable Market Planner is a web-based tool developed by the ISU Institute for Transportation and the Leopold Center. The application calculates rates of demand for 80 crops, with settings for regions in/around Iowa, consumers by age group, various time frames and product mixes. Access the planner here.
