In 2006, the Annual Biobased Industry Outlook Conference will focus on the financial, scientific, equipment, and educational investments that will be needed in order for U.S.
agriculture to supply a significant portion of U.S. energy needs, while maintaining production of food, feed, and fiber. More information is forthcoming.

2005 Biobased Industry Outlook Conference

The 2005 Biobased Industry Outlook Conference focused on providing information for individuals and groups interested in business opportunities in the area of renwable energy and biobased products. The workshop highlighted new technology developments, capitalization strategies and partnerships between academic researchers and the business community.

2004 Biobased Industry Outlook Conference

March 7-8 , 2004
Ames, Iowa

The conference, targeted to those interested in the bioindustry, gave an overview of current state of the industry and its future. A poster session featured research projects funded by the Iowa Biotechnology Bioproducts Consortium (BBC) and the Ames Laboratory Biorenewables Consortium (BRC). The posters on display during the reception highlighted significant accomplishments and the impact of these projects on the State of Iowa and the Midwest. Speakers presented information about current research, biobased products, and federal initiatives and directions.
