Our Accomplishments

  • Organized in August 2003
  • Recruited a group of committed people who are poised to make a difference in how value chains develop for biobased businesses in Iowa
  • Sponsored the 2004 Biobased Industry Outlook Conference in Ames, Iowa
  • Received funds for research and development projects, for support staff and for honoraria to participants
  • Awarded a total of ten grants since Fall 2003 - four in 2003 and six in 2004
  • Developed a sustainability matrix for the bioeconomy in Iowa
