Craig Shore
Craig Shore founded Creative Composites in Brooklyn, Iowa in 2002 and currently serves as the company’s president. Creative Composites focuses on developing applications for biocomposites using plant based resins or natural fibers. Shore has been involved with Iowa State University Technology Commercialization Acceleration Program and has worked on commercializing products developed by researchers at both Iowa State University and the University of Northern Iowa.
In 2004 Creative Composites joined with Vibroacoustic Solutions, Inc., of Ames. The joint effort then secured federal research funding through a National Science Foundation SBIR Phase I grant to explore acoustic applications for natural fibers composites. The companies recently were awarded Phase II funding for this research and have been developing two additional Phase I applications which are currently under consideration. The two companies are collaborating to work on product development geared towards applications for several major Iowa manufacturers.
