Shri Ramaswamy
Shri Ramaswamy is the Head of the Department of Bio-based Products at the University of Minnesota. He is also a professor in the Department, which is part of the College of Natural Resources. His research interests at the University of Minnesota include transport in porous media, process engineering and product development, and bio-based polymers. Prior to joining the University of Minnesota in 1993 as a faculty member in Mechanical Engineering, he worked for the Scott Paper Company and Hercules, Inc.
Ramaswamy earned his B.S. in Physics from the University of Madras in Madras, India. He earned an M.S. and a Ph.D. in Paper Science in Engineering from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry and an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Syracuse University.
