Stephen A. Halsey has proven expertise creating and implementing strategic and high-impact consumer, retail, business-to-business and public affairs campaigns. His track record of success includes cover stories in the Wall Street Journal, as well as major feature coverage in leading media outlets such as Forbes, Fortune, USA Today, CNN, MSNBC, CBS Nightly News, Financial Times, Handelsblatt and numerous other business and trade publications.
Halsey and his team have been at the forefront of making industrial biotechnology and biobased products mainstream in North America and Europe. His experience includes leading the launch of NatureWorks LLC, as well as its packaging brand NatureWorks PLA and fiber brand Ingeo fiber. He actively works with numerous processors, retailers, and brand owners introducing biobased products. His professional experience also includes work with Cargill Incorporated, The Dow Chemical Company, Dow AgroSciences, and Syngenta.
Prior to joining Gibbs & Soell, Halsey served as a chief of staff in the Missouri State Legislature and as communications manager for various local and state political campaigns. He earned a B.S. degree in political science with an area of concentration in journalism from Truman State University.
